Delivery
Your HortPod Greenhouse kit will be delivered, packed in several separate, liftable sections. If you are storing this prior to build, you will need approximately 2/3 (two thirds) of a standard delivery pallet (about 1m square and half a metre high).
Site selection
You will need a 5m x 5m level site to build one HortPod. Completed HortPod Greenhouses are 4m x 4m and 3m high, with a 1.15m door that opens outwards. On exposed sites, the HortPod should be protected by either a natural (trees) or artificial wind break. In general, a north-south orientation will maximise sunlight and a well-drained site will help to manage storm runoff.
Site preparation
HortPods are designed for level ground. If your site is not level, structural and cover fitting problems may arise. Check your site for plumbing and electrical ground works, water and flood information. Consider ag drainage to ensure water drains away from you HortPod.
HortPod Greenhouses are movable structures and some local government areas may not require a Development Application for rural properties. However, please check your local zoning regulations, especially if you intend to build on a concrete slab.
